Privacy Policy

We're a local repair and device shop, not a data business. We collect the minimum we need to fix your device, process a sale, and reach you about it — nothing more. We don't sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone.

Depending on how you deal with us, that's:

• At the shop: your name, phone number, and (if you give it) email, plus the device and the problem you brought in.
• Online orders: the name, shipping address, and contact details you enter to buy a device. Card payments run through Square — PHYX never sees or stores your full card number.
• This website:standard server logs (including your IP address and browser type) and basic analytics so the store works and loads fast. We don't run advertising pixels or retargeting. Some pages embed content from other companies — the Instagram feed on our home page and the Google map on our Location page — and those companies receive your IP address and browser details when that content loads.

Only to do the job: complete your repair, contact you about your device or order, take payment, and honor our post-repair coverage. We don't build marketing profiles and we don't hand your details to advertisers.

Full stop — we don't sell your information and we don't hand it to advertisers. The companies that do receive it are the services that make this site and the job run, and only with what they need to do their part: Square (card payments), the delivery carrier if you have an item shipped, Resend (emails us your contact-form message), Neon (our database) and Netlify (hosts this site), plus Google and Meta (Instagram) for the map and social feed embedded on our pages.

Please back up your device before any service — we'll help if you ask. During a repair or recovery we access your files only as far as the job requires (for example, confirming a screen or booting a drive). We don't copy off or keep your personal files, photos, or messages.

Card payments — in store and online — are processed by Square. Your card data is handled under Square's own security and privacy terms; PHYX only receives confirmation that a payment cleared. Note our transparent 3.5% card-processing fee (paying cash avoids it).

We don't run advertising or retargeting cookies. Your cart is kept in your own browser's local storage — not in a cookie — and it stays on your device until you check out. The cookies we set are the ones that sign shop staff into the admin area. The Instagram feed and Google map embedded on our pages load from Meta and Google, and those companies may set their own cookies when that content loads; your browser's third-party cookie controls will block them without breaking the rest of the site.
