Accessibility
What we do to keep this site usable for everyone, and how to reach a person if something gets in your way.

Our commitment
PHYX Device Repair & Sales wants every customer to be able to look up a repair, price a device, and reach us — whatever they use to browse. We build and test this site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard most widely used to judge whether a website is usable by people with disabilities. Accessibility is ongoing work here, not a box we ticked once: we review it as we build, and we keep improving the site as we change it.
What we've built in
- A “Skip to content” link so keyboard users can jump past the header on every page.
- Full keyboard operation — menus, the cart, photo galleries, and forms all work without a mouse, and the focused element is always visible.
- Text and interface colors chosen against measured contrast ratios rather than by eye, so copy stays legible on our dark background.
- Tap targets sized to at least 44×44 pixels for easier use on a phone.
- Respect for your device's “reduce motion” setting — animations stop when you ask your system to stop them.
- Real text and headings rather than pictures of text, so screen readers can read it.
- A pause button on the moving photo strip, so nothing keeps sliding while you're trying to read.
- Pages that hold up when you zoom in or enlarge text in your browser, rather than breaking apart.
Content from other companies
A couple of places on this site show content served by someone else — the Instagram feed on our home page and the Google map on our Location page. Those are built and delivered by Instagram and Google, not by us, so how they behave is set on their end. Anything you need from them is also on the page as ordinary text: our address, our hours, and our phone number are always written out nearby.
Run into a problem? Tell us
If anything on this site blocks you — a page you can't read, a control you can't reach, a form you can't finish — contact us and we'll help you directly and fix the underlying problem. Tell us the page and what happened, and we'll take it from there.
Email repairs@phyx.me or call 413-234-4313. You can also walk in — 95 Mill Street, Suite B1, Springfield, MA 01108 — and a person will help you in the shop.
Anything you can do on this website you can also do by phone or in person, including pricing a repair, checking whether we have a device in stock, and placing an order.
